The 10 Banting Downunder Guidelines
- Choose non-lean animal protein, in moderate portions
- Choose single-ingredient whole foods
- Choose healthy Omega-3 fats as brain food, for cooking and dressings
- Wait until you're hungry before eating, and stop when you're full
- It's OK to skip meals, and fasting is recommended between meals
- Eat 1 - 3 proper meals a day, and don't snack
- Resist eating sweet foods
- Avoid grains and grain products
- If choosing to eat pieces of fruit, have them with a meal
- Eggs are not restricted, and can be enjoyed at any (or every) meal
